Huntington's Beds

Huntington's disease (HD) is a hereditary disorder of the central nervous system. It is caused by a faulty gene on chromosome 4. This faulty gene leads to damage of the nerve cells in areas of the brain, leading in turn to gradual physical, mental and emotional changes. We have some specialist care homes with units offering Huntington's Disease care with experienced staff and adapted facilities. Some other homes are also able to offer care to people with Huntington's Disease, and you may wish to speak to your local home to check.
