Downlands Park is a sympathetically converted large private house and former school, which retains a homely character and elegant rooms. It is situated in the attractive town of Haywards Heath, and set in its own beautifully landscaped grounds with extensive lawns, mature trees, a patio and gazebo. Many rooms have views of the grounds, and most offer en-suite facilities for privacy and convenience. Daily activities are offered, and personal interests are encouraged, including flower arranging, music, gardening and scrabble. Local attractions such as the West Sussex coast, Brighton and Ditchling Beacon may be enjoyed on organised trips or with friends and relatives. Links with the local community are maintained by offering day care to local older people, and Downlands Park is also able to offer post-operative care rehabilitation, and care to people with Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease and those who have had strokes.

BUPA Care Homes

All our homes offer the quality of care you'd expect from BUPA. We employ dedicated, well trained staff, to provide 24-hour care in a professional and respectful way.

Above all, each resident is treated as an individual, and able to exercise choice in all aspects of their care. We encourage as full and active a lifestyle as possible, with rules and regulations kept to minimum, and visitors are welcome at any time.

Each resident has their own regularly updated care plan. Additional services such as speech therapy or physiotherapy can always be arranged, as can opticians and dentists appointments.

All rooms have television points and safety features such as smoke detectors and 24-hour nurse-call systems. Residents are welcome to bring personal belongings and small items of furniture, and pets are allowed in some homes.

Each home has an activities organiser to provide stimulating and interesting activities, taking account of residents' interests. There is always a varied menu of fresh, nutritious food, but special dietary or cultural needs will always be catered for.

Fees vary for each home, room and the level of care needed. Please contact the home manager directly to get an individualised quote.

Why not visit your local home and find out what sets BUPA care homes apart?
